Dear Joanna Coles,
The ongoing battle of equality is much more visible through social media and its ability to globalise social movements. Movements such as “Free the nipple.”
As an enthusiastic and inquisitive young woman studying Multimedia Journalism at Bournemouth University, I am intrigued to investigate the matter and bring public and professional opinions to light. In an era in which we insist on equality for everyone, it is still deemed unsuitable for women to be comfortable in their sexuality without being sexualised or judged.
I would like to write an article highlighting the feminist social movement of ‘Free the Nipple’ and whether people feel it is an important move in terms of equal rights. I would like to interview a member of the Women’s Equality Party in Bournemouth, and a member of the Feminism society at Bournemouth University.
